Location & meeting point
- We operate from one location only: Purple Island, Al Thakira (Al Khor) 🏝️ (around 50 minutes from Doha).
- Please come by your own transport to: “AquaSports Qatar Eco Camp – Mangrove Kayaking Center” (Google Maps).
Booking & confirmation
- Please book online to receive your invoice + confirmation email.
- Your confirmation email includes: meeting point, what to bring, and invoice details.
- We will contact you only if the trip is changed or canceled.
Food & add-ons
- After booking, you can pre-order add-ons (sandwiches, pizza 🍕🍔, etc.) to enjoy during your trip.
Arrival & camp facilities
- We recommend arriving 1 hour before (or staying 1 hour after) to enjoy the area.
- Camp facilities are available, and you may use our complimentary BBQ equipment 🔥.
- Camp access is for tour guests only, and facilities can be used up to 2 hours after your kayaking tour.
Payment options
- Cash on arrival
- Card payment (POS) — no extra fees
- Bank transfer (using the details in your invoice)
Tour basics
- No minimum number to join 😊
- We operate daily all year round (weekdays, weekends, summer)
Ladies-only note
- We do not offer ladies-only days.
- Tours are family-friendly, and our team (guides/lifeguards) are male (no female staff currently).
- All tours are escorted by trained guides/lifeguards for safety.
Private rental / VIP terrace
- The camp is not available for private rental.
- The upper private terrace can be reserved only with the Golden VIP Package (extra charge).
Trip timing (important)
- Trip times depend on availability, weather, and tide level.
- Available times will appear after you select your date—click the green “Available” button to view slots.
Transportation (not included)
- You can come by your own car, or use Uber / Karwa Taxi.
- Note: Uber may not always be available, and returning to Doha may be delayed.
- We recommend booking your return ride in advance.
- Estimated one-way fare from Doha: 70–90 QAR.
Public transport option
- Bus R702 from Lusail QNB Metro Station (multiple stops = longer trip).
- Ask the driver to drop you at the main road near AquaSports entrance.
- Then walk about 500 meters to the camp.
- For safety, we recommend doing this during daylight (same for return).

Tide Tip (Quick & Helpful) 🛶 نصائح ما قبل الحجز للمدّ والجزر
Before you book, please check the tide - Tide level affects which mangrove channels we can access and how long/smooth the tour will be.

👍 High tide = best mangrove tour (we can go deeper into the mangrove channels)
🔻 Medium / Low tide: The mangrove channels may be too shallow, so the tour will be a scenic paddle front Purple Island 🏝️ in calm shallow waters.
🚶♂️ At low tide, you might need to walk a short distance to reach the kayaks
✅ Checking the tide helps you choose the best time and enjoy the full experience.
⚠️ Note: We are not responsible for limited access or route changes if a tour is booked during medium/low tide.
